Talents:

Velyn is a prodigious scholar of arcane magic at the Vale Society, obsessed with creating the perfect magical ice crystals. He was born in Springwarden lands amid an unprecedented blizzard in 1049. He enrolled in the Vale Society in 1120 and studied under arcane magic master Hedwyn. In 1188, he discovered that Hedwyn was practising Necromancy, and defeated him in a duel. In 1196, he protected the Vale Society, and was appointed Provost of its Academy of Arcane Magic by Chancellor Gwyllyn.

Velyn was born with a natural affinity to ice, and as a child, would imagine that the falling snowflakes were his friends – or his subjects. In ice, he saw order, and in the beautiful symmetry of its crystals and branches, he found his deepest joy.

As a young man, Velyn had a deep interest in magic – particularly arcane magic, with its interconnecting concepts and intricate procedures. He began studying under the mage Hedwyn, who shared Velyn’s third for knowledge and obsession with the arcane and soon became his greatest pupil.

Frozen Star	Rage Skill Rage Cost: 1000 Attack Range: Very Far Deals Hero Skill damage to the target and 2 surrounding Legions (Magic Damage Factor 600) and inflicts Freeze, reducing their March Speed by 10% for 3s. Each additional target reduces the damage dealt to each target. Upgrades: Skill Damage Factor: 600/700/800/1000/1200 March Speed reduction: 10%/12%/14%/16%/20%
Perfection of Form	Passive Skill While in the field, Velyn’s Legion deals 5% more Hero Skill damage and gains 10% March Speed. Upgrades: Hero Skill damage dealt bonus: 5%/7%/9%/12%/15% March Speed bonus: 10%/12%/14%/16%/20%
Bitter Cold	Passive Skill All Magic units in Velyn’s Legion gains 4% Hero Skill Crit Rate and 5% DEF. Upgrades: Magic unit Hero Skill Crit Rate bonus: 4%/5%/6%/8%/10% Magic unit DEF bonus: 5%/7%/9%/12%/15%
Icy Interdiction	Passive Skill When in battle, Velyn has a 20% chance to inflict Magic DEF and Freeze on the target, reducing their Magic DEF by 10% and their March Speed by 10% for 3s. Upgrades: Magic DEF reduction: 10%/12%/14%/16%/20% March Speed reduction: 10%/12%/14%/16%/20%
Snowblind	Additional Passive Skill When casting a Rage Skill on a target that is Frozen, Velyn deals additional Hero Skill damage (Magic Damage Factor 400) and removes the target’s Frozen effect.
