Cleopatra VII Philopator was the last active ruler of the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, nominally survived as pharaoh by her son Caesarion. She was also a diplomat, naval commander, polyglot, and medical author. As a member of the Ptolemaic dynasty, she was a descendant of its founder, Ptolemy I Soter, a Macedonian Greek general and companion of Alexander the Great. After the death of Cleopatra, Egypt became a province of the Roman Empire, marking the end of the Hellenistic period that had lasted since the reign of Alexander. Her native language was Koine Greek and she was the first Ptolemaic ruler to learn the Egyptian language.

Review of Commander Cleopatra VII:
- Ways to obtain Cleopatra VII commander sculptures:
Commander Sculpture Chest from Events (e.g. Symphony of Destiny), Golden Chest in Tavern. - Cleopatra VII gets a maximum of 55% (30% + 25%) gathering speed bonus for food/wood/stone/gold from her Gathering Talents – “Gathering Mastery” (+30% gathering speed for Food/Wood/Stone/Gold) and “Superior Tools” (+25% gathering speed of all resource types)
- Cleopatra VII gets a maximum of 30% stone gathering speed bonus and 20% gathering speed bonus for all other resource types (food/wood/gold/Gems) from her skills (second skill).
- Overall, before considering bonuses from equipment, Cleopatra VII gets 85% stone gathering speed bonus and 75% gathering speed bonus for all other resource types (including Gems). Cleopatra VII has the highest gathering speed for stone resource amongst all commanders in RoK. Stone resource is required to build structures in your city. Unfortunately, stone resource becomes increasingly less useful/valuable as you progress in RoK as most of your city structures would have been completed.
- Cleopatra VII’s Expertise skill provides extra resources in the form of resource packs upon completion of gathering.
- Cleopatra VII’s third skill provides 50% increased load of troops, which is useful when gathering in Alliance Mother Lode (typically for gold).
- What commander level should your Cleopatra VII be? I would recommend leveling Cleopatra VII up to level 20 as soon as possible to unlock her second and third skills. Then, level her up to about level 40 to have enough points to allocate into Gathering Talents that boost gathering speed and march speed. However, it will cost you Dazzling Starlight Sculptures to level her up to level 40, which you may want to spend on other legendary commanders instead.
