JOAN PRIME – Joan of Arc, also known as Saint Joan, was the daughter of a French peasant family, born during the Hundred Years’ War between the French and the English. At the time, internal struggles within France had led to a string of battlefield defeats against the English invaders, who had occupied northern France, making life hard for its people.
At a time of great strife in France, Joan encountered a miracle. Following the “voice of God”, she joined the expedition to save the city of Orleans. On the battlefield, she broke with the French army’s careful strategy, leading an all-out assault. Under her leadership, the French army encircled Orleans and achieved victory in one of the major turning points of the Hundred Years’ War. She went on to lead the French to further victories.
In 1920, Joan of Arc was made a saint. An unyielding heroine, this young woman became on of the most important cultural symbols in France and the West, with many writers and composers creating works about her.

- Joan Prime deals a powerful fan-shaped area-of-effect (AoE) damage to targets through her active skill, which is rare for a cavalry commander (Xiang Yu is currently the only other cavalry commander that has a similar AoE skill damage, while William‘s AoE skill damage is a rectangular shape). Joan Prime’s AoE skill damage deals higher damage than Xiang Yu‘s, and her skill damage for multiple targets scales down less (15% per target) as compared to Xiang Yu‘s (25% per target).

The rage requirement to trigger Xiang Yu’s first skill is 900, which is 10% lower than most commanders in Rise of Kingdoms, which means Xiang Yu unleashes active skill damage on enemies much faster than other commanders. As Joan Prime’s fourth skill can be triggered only once every 10 seconds, having a primary commander like Xiang Yu who activates his active skill quicker than most commanders will allow you to exploit more of Joan Prime’s fourth skill.

This combines well with Joan Prime’s fourth skill, which provides a 100% chance to cast Sacred Banner (2000 AoE skill damage to up to 3 targets) when the secondary commander uses an active skill. In addition, Chandragupta’s third skill provides 20% cavalry health bonus, which when paired with the March Speed bonus in Joan Prime’s second skill, increases the survivability of the troop. Chandragupta also inflicts debuffs on enemy troops – health and defense reduction.
