Rise of Kingdoms: Liu Che – Skills, Talent Trees and Best Pairings

Emperor Wu of Han

Emperor Wu of Han, born Liu Che, ascended the Dragon Throne at the age of 16. The seventh emperor of the Western Han dynasty, Liu Che ruled over China for 53 years, the third-longest reign in Chinese history.

Liu Che inherited an extremely wealthy empire, and leveraged this wealth to greatly expand the Han dynasty’s borders. His many conquests are reflected in his posthumous name “Emperor Wu”, “wu” meaning “martial” or “warlike” in Chinese. However, years of warfare inevitably placed a heavy burden on the empire, and in his later years he focused more on internal reforms. These reforms laid the groundwork for the golden age that would follow. One of Liu Che’s edicts enforced “partition” succession for the great princes of the empire. Upon their deaths, their holdings would have to be distributed amongst their children, gradually reducing the size of their fiefdoms and their influence over the empire. He also replaced the old system of hereditary bureaucrats with an early form of the imperial examination system, which would have massive implications for rest of Chinese history.

Review of Liu Che:

  • Liu Che is currently one of the best Legendary Infantry commanders in open-field fighting in ROK.
  • When combined with Alexander the Great, Liu Che excels in fighting while city-hopping (known as ‘cheese-burgering‘ – hopping out of cities to hit enemies nearby, and hopping back in before enemies’ active skills are triggered). Liu Che’s third skill (Overawing Presence) is an instant proc damage of 300 Smite Damage Factor at 25% chance, which doubles in chance to 50% when he is Expertised due to his Expertised Skill – Above All Kings. Alexander’s second skill (Lead the Charge) is an instant proc damage at 1700 Damage Factor at 10% chance (which doubles to 20% with Liu Che’s Expertised Skill).
