Nebuchadnezzar II - Skills, Talent Trees and Commander Pairs

Restorer of Babylon

(605 – 562 BCE) – 43 years

Rarity: LEGENDARY

Civilization: Babylon

Talents:

Nebuchadnezzar II was the longest-reigning and most powerful monarch of the Neo-Babylonian empire, ruling from 605-562 BCE.

Nebuchadnezzar II was a brilliant general who spent much of his reign conquering nearby kingdoms, fighting the Egyptian empire, and putting down many rebellions in vassal states. His most famous military acts include his two sieges of Jerusalem in 597 and 587 BCE, and his destruction of the Temple of Solomon after the second siege.

His most significant legacy in modern times, however, is not as a conqueror, but rather as a builder. Most of his time and energy spent outside of the battlefield was dedicate to building up his capital city of Babylon. He rebuilt temples, paved roads, dug canals, and built many new fortifications, including a moat surrounding the city walls. Nebuchadnezzar is also said to have built the fabled Hanging Gardens of Babylon to remind his queen of her homeland, Media.

Review of Commander Nebuchadnezzar II:

  • Compared to Cyrus the Great, Nebuchadnezzar II is less effective in 1-vs-1 PvP but more effective in murder balls (1-vs-many PvP) as Nebuchadnezzar II’s first skill deals a strong area-of-effect (“AoE”) skill damage (up to Damage Factor 1500) to up to 5 targets. On Expertise, this skill damage increases by a further 500 Damage Factor to 2000, which is massive.
  • Nebuchadnezzar II was the hardest-hitting archer commander in RoK before Boudica Prime and Henry V were released in the game.
  • After Boudica Prime and Henry V, Nebuchadnezzar is the next most popular archer commander used in open-field battles and Archer rallies.
