Rise of Kingdoms: Star Level Calculator

Star Level Calculator – calculate your Starlight Sculptures now!

I have created this post to help you assess whether you have the sufficient number of Starlight Sculptures, to increase the Star Level of your Commanders.

Starlight Sculptures are used to increase the Star Level of your Commanders when they reach Commander Levels 10, 20, 30, 40, or 50. Commanders do not gain anymore experience at Commander Levels 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 unless you level up his/her Star Level.

What is a Starlight Sculpture?

In Rise of Kingdoms, Starlight Sculptures are used to increase the Star Level of your Commanders when they reach Commander Levels 10, 20, 30, 40, or 50. Once your Commanders reach Commander Level 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50, they do not gain anymore experience unless you level up their Star Level.

Should I use Commander Sculptures to upgrade Star Level?

Note that Commander Sculptures can also be used to upgrade Star Levels but this is not recommended, and it is much less efficient. Even if you have expertized your Commander and have no further use for their Sculptures, you should keep their Sculptures for the exchange event in KvK, where you will be given a chance to exchange your Commander Sculptures for a range of rewards including the Universal Legendary Commander Sculptures.

Rarities and Types of Starlight Sculptures

Starlight Sculptures have 4 rarities (Obsolete, Ordinary, Brand-new, Dazzling) and each rarity of Starlight Sculptures can only be used to upgrade the Star Level of a Commander that has corresponding rarity. The rarities of both Starlight Sculptures and Commanders are identifiable through the common “colors” that they represent (green, blue, purple, orange).

In addition to rarity, Starlight Sculptures are categorized into 3 types: “Regular“, “Blessed“, and “Bundle“. Each of the three types of Starlight Sculptures gives a different amount of Star Experience (“Star EXP“) when used, and also gives a different chance (“Luck“) to provide double Star EXP when used.

The “Bundle” Starlight Sculptures give the most Star EXP, but also has the lowest luck chance to give double Star EXP. The “Blessed” Starlight Sculptures provides higher Star EXP than the “Regular” Starlight Sculptures, and also gives the highest luck chance to gain double Star EXP.

With regards to the mechanics for upgrading Star Level using Starlight Sculptures, you are allowed each time to use up to 6 Starlight Sculptures to increase your Star Level. On selecting up to 6 Starlight Sculptures, the total Star EXP and Luck chance will be displayed, as seen in the picture below. You can mix “Regular” Starlight Sculptures with “Blessed” Starlight Sculptures to increase your total luck chance in each attempt.

I will usually go with 6 “Regular” Starlight Sculptures first. After trying with the 6 “Regular” Starlight Sculptures, if I did not get lucky (i.e. no double Star EXP gained), I will go with a mix of “Regular” and “Blessed” or “Bundle” Starlight Sculptures in the next attempt. Getting lucky in this next attempt will result in a much greater bonus double Star EXP gained due to the use of “Blessed” or “Bundle” Starlight Sculptures.

For both EPIC and LEGENDARY Commanders, the amount of Star EXP required (and hence the number of Starlight Sculptures required) to level up Star Level is the same up to Commander Level 30. Beyond Commander Level 30 (i.e. at Commander Levels 40 and 50), LEGENDARY Commanders require more Starlight EXP to level up their Star Level.

How to obtain Starlight Sculptures?

You can obtain Starlight Sculptures by the following ways:

  • As a reward for completing Events;
  • From opening Silver/Golden Chests in the Tavern;
  • By purchasing them from the Mysterious Merchant when she appears in the Courier Station;
  • By purchasing them from the VIP Shop;
  • By purchasing them from the Medal Store using “Medal of the Conqueror” currency in the Expedition Campaign page.
